JB Meldrum Music

Born in the USA, alive and well in Paris, singer-songwriter and music educator, John B. Meldrum brings together American and European visions of what music can be and what it can do. A child of the sixties and seventies, his icons were John Lennon and Martin Luther King: a rocker and a preacher, two exceptional visionaries. With Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon and Mozart's Magic Flute as touchstones on his path, JB Meldrum’s artistic searchlight seeks beauty beyond boundaries with his every creation.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, John has lived in Paris, France for over 30 years. Home for foreign artists seeking artistic freedom in the spirit of interdisciplinary experimentation, Paris has given him a lively mix of cultures coupled with a quality of life and a love of beauty.

THE PEACE ORATORIO

PEACE ORATORIO by JB Meldrum is a unique piece of music with a strong community outreach program

designed to foster understanding and brotherhood in America and around the world. Based on the life of

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., PEACE ORATORIO speaks to the hearts and minds of people of all colors, ages

and backgrounds to help make racism a thing of the past.

Artie

In just a few short years, Artie has built an original repertoire anchored in blues and folk.

A versatile musician, he developed his technique at the Aix-en-Provence Conservatory in France before discovering the English folk music of Ben Howard, John Martyn and Nick Drake.

Arties’s evolution as a singer song writer traces its roots to Alan Lomax and the traditional American folk repertoire. Studying the masters of Mississippi blues like RL Burnside, Skip James and John Lee Hooker, Artie has developed his own unique style of playing in open tuning and virtuoso finger picking

Faithfully, and true to the genre, Artie pays homage to the great folk storytellers of the 20th century, Dylan, Johnny Cash, Guthrie Leadbelly, Seegar and Leonard Cohen in his new original compositions.

Open to world music, his repertoire is filled with diverse inspirations, often linked by a love of poetry and simplicity. A bit nostalgic for the times of those whose shoulders upon which he stands, Artie performs alone on stage with the simple accompaniment of a rhythm suitcase, harmonica, and guitar. A modern-day Troubadour.

Buddy Cleveland

Buddy Cleveland, born in Northeast Ohio, overlooking the blast furnaces and billowing smoke stacks of US Steel, never forgot the smell of Sulfur and hard work. His first love, bowling is reflected in his musical stylings, serving as a metaphor of the things that influenced his life. Buddy embarked on his musical career writing music for commercials, safety training and industrial films as well as scholastic film strips. Soon growing tired of the rat race, his life was to change when, at league night, he met the musicians who would become his crew, simply known as, "The Eriemen."

Joining forces with this band of ne'er-do-wells, troubadours all, Buddy has become well known for providing commercial music for films, commercials, video games, television, backgrounds, sync and special events. Whether you're looking for prerecorded or custom, made-to-order compositions, Buddy is your guy.
